The Humanities Division of the University of Oxford is committed to increasing the portfolio of studentships available to all students to attract the best, irrespective of background or ability to pay. The Division is proud to support the University's Academic Futures programme, which encompasses a range of targeted scholarship schemes to address under-representation, including financial support for UK Black and Mixed Black students studying any Masters or DPhil course in the Humanities. through Black Academic Futures. All eligible humanities applicants who indicate their ethnicity in their application for graduate study (January deadline) will be automatically considered for funding through the Black Academic Futures programme.
Academic Futures awards are also now available for refugees or other people with lived experience of displacement, and for UK students who have experience of being in care. Applicants who indicate their eligibility for these awards in their graduate application form will be contacted separately and invited to submit an application for consideration by the Academic Futures selection panel.
