Researcher Charter

The Charter for the Career Development of Researchers

The Charter for the Career Development of Researchers lists the University’s commitments to support researchers’ career development, such as supporting them with at least 10 days of professional development time* (pro rata, per year) and enabling access to career development reviews (CDRs).  It also outlines the responsibilities of researchers and their PIs/line managers when it comes to fostering a world-leading research culture, which is vital for producing world-leading research.

More details can be found on the Researcher Hub website.

Monthly drop-in sessions

In order to support the Charter, the Humanities Division is piloting a monthly drop-in session with the Divisional Registrar, Alex Vincent. This is an opportunity for fixed term researchers to bring suggestions, raise issues, and ask queries directly with the Registrar. The drop-in sessions will be the first Wednesday of every month on MS Teams, beginning Wednesday 4 December at 9-10.00am. Please email the Research Culture Facilitator for joining instructions.
